Montgomery and Parke County authorities are seeking the next-of-kin of a Crawfordsville man who was killed in an accident on U. S. 41, south of Rockville Wednesday night. Parke County Coroner Richard Tudor said papers carried by the victim identified him as Frederick G. Daily and Frederick G. Dailey. Tudor said the man’s name was “Bingo” and he resided at 201½ E. Market St. Tudor asks that anyone having information concerning the victim’s next-of-kin call him at 812-597-2233. Communications Officer Lester Shirley of the State Police Post at Terre Haute said Daily was traveling north at a high rate of speed and was left of the center line. His auto struck the side and rear of a tractor-trailer being driven south by Burl P. Norris, 30, of Rockville. Norris was unhurt. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Parke County Deputy Coroner Russell Walker. Troopers investigating the accident were Jerry Steteler, Danny Clevenger, Warren Stevenson and Dennis Eslinger. In another area accident, a 63-year-old Montezuma woman was killed Wednesday in a two-car crash two miles south of Montezuma. Police said Mary Holycross died when a car driven by her husband, Tilman, 73, backed out of their driveway and into the path of another car. – jlr
